First Day Schedule Information
Hello from the School Counselors!
We are really excited to see you tomorrow. Our schedule for the opening week is set and we want everyone to get the new information this school year. Every student should report to their A block (homeroom). If you are unsure of your homeroom, please check your Aspen for your first block in semester one/full year. New students can come to the junior high office or the High School Counseling Office for help.
As such, we are asking that students who want schedule changes come down to our office during the block that they wish to change or a blank in your schedule. This means if you are missing a F or G block class, then you should come down on Thursday (Day 2). Please do not come down during a class meeting or assembly.
Our add/drop period will go until September 16, 2027. If the class you would like to switch into is not available, then Guidance will establish a wait list. You must follow your schedule as given to you on the first day of school. If you received a paper schedule prior to the first day, then you should replace it with one that is on the brightly colored paper.
We have a lot of new faces in School Counseling this year! Ms. Rosa is excited to help you schedule an appointment with your counselor. Emails are always a great way to get a hold of your counselor as well!
Lastly, there are times when the schedule you received over the summer and the schedule you get on the first day of school are different. There are many reasons this could happen, but it most likely comes down to balancing sections or moving entire sections to accommodate a need. We try to make sure our class sections are similar sizes for optimal learning and ask for your understanding if this happens to your student.
