School Business Manager
Mr. Mara earned his Bachelor’s degree in General Mathematics from Framingham State College, a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Cambridge College, and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Worcester State College. He holds Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education licensure as a Mathematics Teacher, Principal/Assistant Principal, Assistant Superintendent/Superintendent, and School Business Administrator. Mr. Mara began his career with Millbury Public Schools in 2007 as a Mathematics teacher. Throughout his tenure, he has served the district in several leadership roles, including Athletic Director, Assistant Principal (beginning in 2020), Assistant Business Manager (2025), and now Business Manager, a position he assumed in 2026. As Business Manager, Mr. Mara oversees the district's financial operations and business services, bringing a strong background in educational leadership, fiscal management, and strategic planning. He has been an active member of the Massachusetts Association of School Business Officials (MASBO) since 2024, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to professional growth and excellence in school business administration.
