Good afternoon Woolie families, 

Here are a few reminders for the ELA MCAS Grade 10 starting Tuesday, March 24th, and ending on Wednesday, March 25th.  Please note that, as a school, we are still required to participate in MCAS testing.  Students will not have access to phones, smartwatches, personal devices, AirPods/earbuds, etc. during testing.  The devices will be collected to ensure test security, as this test still allows our students to qualify for the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship for their senior year.   

For MCAS, students will be using their school-issued device.

• Please make sure students come to school with a device fully charged so it is at 100% battery for both days of testing.

• Please make sure students log out and shut down their Chromebooks the day before testing. This allows any updates to process.

• MCAS testing rooms will be posted outside the cafeteria and outside the guidance office. Testing locations will be the same on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Attendance will be taken in the testing rooms. 

• MCAS testing is scheduled for the first three blocks of the day. Students are allowed additional time if they do not finish. Students must complete testing by 2:00 pm.

• If your student is still testing at lunch time, we will make sure that they have the opportunity to go get lunch and eat in the testing room.

• If your student is absent from school for any reason on Tuesday or Wednesday, please plan for them to take the missed session during the make-up session on Thursday, March 26, 2026.

• Make sure students go to bed early on the nights before MCAS and eat a good breakfast in the morning.
