Shaw Community Update

October 2025

Dear Parents, Guardians, Students, and Community Members,

Thank you for your support of our Fall Food Drive! It was heartwarming to see our community come together to help others. We also loved welcoming so many of you at our Back to School Community Open House nights—your presence and energy made these evenings a true success. Finally, a big thank you for your support of our Boosterthon fundraiser, which enables us to provide meaningful opportunities for our students.

We are also excited to share some wonderful news. On Monday, September 29th, Millbury was recognized by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) as one of 63 school districts across the state to reach pre-pandemic levels of achievement in grades 3–8. This recognition reflects the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, and families, and we are proud to celebrate this accomplishment with our community. You can read more about this recognition and view the full list of districts here: DESE Recognition List – September 29, 2025.

This achievement belongs to all of us, and it highlights what we can accomplish when we work together in support of our students.

As always, your input and support is very important to us. Please know our doors are always open to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.

Regards,
Andrew Tuccio & Erin Rosenkranz
