Door Replacement and Security Upgrade Project

The Millbury Public Schools is soliciting Invitations for Bids (IFB's) for the Millbury Jr./Sr. High School and Elmwood Street Schools' Door Replacement and Security Upgrade Project in Millbury, MA. The project goal is to provide new exterior doors and security access at the specified entry points in two schools. 

Complete IFB specifications (two files) are listed below. Please contact the Business Office at 508-865-9501 to be added to the requestor's list.

The IFB opening is Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 2:00PM for filed sub-bids and Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 2:00PM for general bids. Both should be submitted in a sealed envelope, as specified in the bid specifications, at the Superintendent's Office, 12 Martin Street, Millbury, MA  01527. Note: The Superintendent's Office is on the second floor of a grey building behind the high school at 12 Martin Street.

There is a Pre-bid Conference scheduled for Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 3:00PM starting at Millbury High School, 12 Martin Street, Millbury, MA.

There have been a lot of recent inquiries regarding the electrical specifications and the security component in the last few days so we have decided to issue the enclosed Addendum #1 to help clarify and to postpone both bid openings by one week.

We are sorry for the confusion.

Therefore, the filed sub bid bid opening will be:

Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 2pm at Supt's Office, 12 Martin Street, Millbury, MA.

and the general contractor bid opening will be Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 2pm at Supt's Office, 12 Martin Street, Millbury, MA.

Please acknowledge Addendum #1 in your bid proposal.

If I happen to receive any bids today, I will return them unopened.

Addendum #2

We determined that there is a need for a second addendum, Addendum #2, due to some additional electrical questions. See below for Addendum #2, which will also move the bid opening dates out an additional week.

Therefore, the Filed Sub Bid Bid Opening will now be Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 2pm and the General Contractor Bid  Opening will now be Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 2pm both at the Supt.'s Office, 12 Martin Street, Millbury, MA.

There was a little bit of confusion over receiving no Electrical filed sub bids so we have issued Addendum #3 and postponed the general contractor bid opening to Thursday, December 28th at 2pm. Addendum #3 is attached below:
