2018-2019 Preschool Program Application

  • play, learn and grow together The Integrated Preschool Program at the Elmwood Street School is designed to meet the needs of children who are developing within normal limits as well as children who have been identified with special needs.  Classes are taught by a teacher trained in Early Childhood Education. The public school calendar is followed.  Children who are selected must be toilet-trained prior to entering.  PARENTS PROVIDE THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION.

    The lottery is open to typically developing children who can be appropriate role models.  All children who apply will be screened prior to the lottery.  If you have concerns about your child’s development, please contact Andrea Ostrosky, Early Childhood Coordinator, (508-865-5241) about a developmental screening.

    The preschool program offers half day morning classes for 3 year olds, and half day afternoon or full day classes for 4 year olds.  If your child is selected, you will be contacted and a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is required to hold the spot.  This deposit will be applied toward the September tuition.  Vouchers will be accepted.  Financial assistance is available through Child Care Resources.  Information on financial assistance will be provided upon request.

    Application Deadline: FRIDAY, January 5, 2018

    All applications MUST include a copy of the child’s birth certificate, two proofs of residency {utility bill or cable bill AND property tax statement, mortgage agreement or lease} and updated immunizations.  Applications will not be accepted without the appropriate documentation.  Applications that are not complete will be returned.

    Children will be selected by lottery to fill the openings in each class. Successful applicants will be notified by mail in April.  An orientation program for parents and students will be held prior to the start of Preschool.
